I am sad to say goodbye to the city that never sleeps
My 5 year stopover in New York/New Jersey area comes to its final conlusion as I get ready to move on to a new destination. I will miss everything about this city - the energy, the feel, the people, the intensity, the shopping, the partying into the wee hours, the quest to be better. This is the city where everyone is fighting to define themselves in a vibrant, diverse space and justifying why they would do anything to pay the crazy apartment rents. I love New York because you can always reinvent yourself again and again.
Because you can have everything delivered.Because it all happens here.Because you can stay out all night and come home when people are starting their morning commute. Or you can work really late and come home while people are heading out for the night, no matter what time it is. I love New York because you can do anything, anytime and there is always someone doing it with you. No matter where you go, you are passing by thousands of interesting people every day, if you care to notice.
This city is where people come to dance with strangers and shop till they drop; to get dream jobs on Broadway or Wall Street;to eat food from all over the world; to see the best stop of any concert tour, and most importantly, this is the city where people come are too ambitious, too excited, too hungry, too fun, too outrageous!
Anyway, I concluded my last week in New York City by celebrating all what I love about this crazy city - worked two nights in a row to finish work deadline; shopped the entire day at my favorite stores all day; ate and drank at my favorite bars/restaurants with friends and enjoyed a great picnic while watching a movie in Bryant Park.
I LOVE NY!
And now back to real & sane life in a different world....
